More Nashville time

After Thanksgiving Day we settled into more "everyday life". Here you see how William helped me to print Chrismon envelopes. He loves to help.

And he is an expert puzzler. Holding up the last piece.

Oh yes, we had to built forts. Even Drifter enjoyed it when he visited.

On one day the weather was especially nice and we took a lovely walk on a greenway. Nashville has very nice greenways.

Drifter was more tired before William was. Helen and I turned back with Drifter. William and James walked a little further. This is an especially nice part of the greenway.

But then he came running.

5 sleepovers. Sunday morning he woke up early, climbed into our bed, and fell asleep again.

Saying good-by is never easy. Monday after school we met at a paletas place (Mexican Ice cream popsicles).

Of course we left Advent-calendar-sacks for William and his parents, a family custom.

The day (Monday Nov.28) ended with quite a storm, badly needed rain in Nashville too. The next morning we started very early and were lucky with the weather except for the last hour home.

We mailed a letter already in Nashville to William. He enjoyed receiving them so much. It came with a calendar page until we see again so he can cross of days. Helen and William will visit soon.

What a wonderful visit you had. Hard to split your heart between Nashville and Richmond!

Oh yes. You know it. Thank you for all your insightful comments. Love reading them. All four of them are such different characters. And of course spending time with my grown daughters is lovely too. Much to rare. Sigh.

This really has nothing to do with your beautiful pictures. I just discovered your wonderful Chrismon patterns and want to thank you for them. My husband has decided that our tree should be Christ based, like the one in the church sanctuary, and wants me to make the ornaments. I have always liked Chrismons and your renderings are just lovely. I just wish I could do the lace. Thank you so much!

Thank you, Merryann. You will find that they will also make great little presents, especially if you print the meaning on an envelope etc etc like I explained. Right now I am working on this year's symbol to give to all the children in our church on the third Advent Sunday. You can read about it under ministry. It's so much fun to do.
Good luck with your project. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
