Alarm clock rang early. Just before 7:30 am James called an Uber which arrived in about 8 minutes. James and I were a bit worried about the way he took to the airport. At the end James had to help him looking at his iPhone. But finally we got there. Checking in and security were quick and easy and soon we were sitting with some coffee and live country music close to the gate. Hurry up and wait! No problem. Vacation.
The flight left on time at 10:15 and I had a nice view of Percy Priest Lake.
I am happy to have a window seat. I could see a lot this time ... the everglades ... some cruise ships (but not ours because it would arrive the next morning).
After a comfortable 2 1/2 hour flight we landed in Fort Lauderdale which was actually cooler then I anticipated. There was a hotel shuttle to the Ramada Inn. The hotel was another good find by James. Everybody very nice and helpful. We had a snack at the bar chatting with a couple we had met in the shuttle bus.
Later we had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Didn’t feel like going anywhere.
The courtyard and the full (blue) moon were lovely.
