Asia Trip - Day 28 - returning home

Sun 8 - 6:50am ICN Seoul (4 h 55 min)
KoreanAirLines #93 10:15am ICN – 10:50am IAD Washington DC (13 h 35 min)
UA #3394 12:45pm IAD – 1:30pm RIC Richmond (45 min)

The plane took off from Saigon shortly after midnight. Happily the flights, first 4 hours to Seoul and then 14 more from Seoul to Washington were uneventful. We did get meals which I didn't touch much. The meal photo should be the first one in this blog but since FaceBook always decides to automatically feature the first picture I decided to switch the first two. The selfie of the two of us was taken at the very last flight.

The last flight was with an propeller machine. The propellers are just too strange in the photos. I did want to show that we came from temperatures in the 90s to the white stuff.

The closer we came to Richmond so browner the earth got.

On our north side Of our house of course still evidence, but even this was gone by evening.

I had already mentioned that we got each a super present from Ole. Well, here it is. Our updated and illustrated itinerary. Isn't that incredible? The drawings all done by himself. As always we lucked out and had a super tour leader. He took wonderful care of us and made the trip special.

Awesome!
Yes, trips with OAT have never disappointed us. They are a little more then sightseeing. The guides honestly try to connect you to the real everyday life.
The guides (especially Ole) were awesome. The people in our group were awesome. All were always punctual and considerate. We got to know each other's sense of humor. Would be nice to stay somewhat in touch. And, of course, the countries were awesome. We heard some horrible things but some people rose out of it. And the buildings and structures hundreds or even thousands of years old ... just awesome!
It will take some time to digest all of that.
