Day 18 of William's visit

Wednesday July 5 -  William's last full day with us. We let him sleep in a little but he had a good night's sleep and showed up before 9 am for breakfast. One thing we did every day and he helped was search the garden for May beetles or Japanese beetles (whatever they are called) which had invaded our roses. Every time we go and look we can catch a few. Surely there has to be an end to these.

But the daliah we planted this spring is finally blooming.

Almost 3 weeks and William has not been to the Science Museum, a must for several years and usually several times. Last chance for this visit. We parked in the circle (for members) and he went straight to the ball.

Once inside we renewed our membership and really enjoyed walking around. There seemed to be so many new displays, hands-on displays. It was very nice.

These first two photos are at the entry.

You are supposed to turn the photo and then it should looks/simulate floating without gravity.

Here are only a few samples of the fun/interesting things William encountered.

This photo didn't turn out but it was so interesting. Laser beams went criss-cross through the room and William tried to climb over and under not to trip the alarm. That was fun.

Ha-ha, William on a "hamster wheel" generating energy.

At the point of "information overload" we left the Science Museum. William voiced that he might like to give "Mr. Beast Burgers" a try after all. We had asked him before but he never liked the idea. Seems Mr. Beast is famous but Helen found that there is no Mr. Beast Burgerplace in Nashville.

I had googled before and had found that the place was close to this museum. It was a very hot day so we decided to drive the block instead of walking. This was the address but we didn't like what we were looking for. Finally we found somebody who told us that it had moved to 815 West Carry Street about 4 months ago.

We gave up and went home. He liked my homemade meatloaf muffins and we had a very nice rest of the afternoon and evening. Of course we had to stage (find) all his things to be packed tomorrow.

Another great day!
