Before I forget though I have to share a VIDEO (:19) of Colin singing to her. She shared it on FaceBook and I just have to share it too. You don't want to miss this.
The weather was good enough and we all went to the ACAC pool where they have a membership. My goodness, we were impressed. There is a pool with lanes for lap swimming and a walk-in pool for children of all ages. Ideal!

The twins are so different. While Colin loves to jump into the water and happily floats, Owen just walks in barely to his ankles but is happy to play with his cup and make Omi's legs wet.
We go back to their house. After some play it is dinner time. I had prepared and brought taco dinner with the meat sauce and cheese sauce in crock pots. Our neighbor Lois Jeanne in St. Louis had given me that recipe probably 40 years ago and it is still one of my favorites.
After that the older boys quickly decorated the birthday cookie. And a fine job they did. Owen had to check when they were finished whether they did it right.

After the birthday cookie and the singing, some went down with the older children to the swing set. And William tried the scooter out.
The two finally had settled a little and played very nicely together. It was time for James and me to go back to our house. William had been invited to spend the night. He had been so excited!
Soon a text came that all children were asleep. Yeah, happy day!
