The Nanny is away

... but luckily only this week. Of course we are happy to help out. It was mighty early though when the alarm clock rang. Look at that beautiful sky. I would have liked to take a better photo ... but didn't manage that.

Caleb's bus is at the bus stop usually around 8:40 am or so. It was late that morning. The twins, Caleb and the other children were getting wild. The weather was not too bad but look at Caleb's pants. No time to go home and change.

Tuesday the weather was not so nice and the twins don't have school that day. We were happy working with the legos at the table. Helen called me and of course the twins talked with Auntie Helen. She asked them to give each other a hug and pretend its from her. Oh boy, they did that!

Later in the morning we decided to go to Rockwood Park.

Good idea!

Besides really nice playgrounds there are also nice hiking trails. The boys are really good.

We came across one of those painted stones. Really cute.

They surely have a fascination with bridges. They spent quite some time ... on this one ... and on others.

Another painted stone.

Their imagination went wild. They pretended to rescue each other.

Later in the week we had water galore come down from heaven. At least I can enjoy my orchid. My mother used to have one of this kind in yellow. Always think of her but especially when "her" orchid is blooming.

And yes, the calendar had to be advanced to another month.
