This and that

June started off great. On Tuesday the 2nd we had Caleb for a while because Sarah had something work related from 10 to 3. She could have brought him to the day care but that way she could play with him a little in the morning and we had not really seen him in a while.

Some of the photos are from Sarah. Could not decide which one I liked best.

It was mowing day around our place ... and Caleb was fascinated.

We went for a little walk too.

One of Caleb's habits: he likes to have something in his left hand, carries it around and doesn't let go. Since he learned to walk he liked my little doily, dusted and wiped the floor with it. Now he has my mug rugs too. It was Aunt Helen's idea to make them available for him. She made them for me.

Uups, it fell down.

First Wednesday of the month: women's club meeting at 1pm. Have to put a plug for our 55+ community in here. The speaker Harry Kollatz (sr writer for Richmond Mag and author) was very funny "Tales of Richmond: The Quirky and Unusual".

Managed to make a table runner for the new coffee table. The center squares are leftover Singapore fabric. Aahh the memories!

Saturday I had "the urge" to try a recipe I had seen on Facebook. Stovetop pizza from The Chef's toolbox.

1 cup flour

1/4 tsp salt

3/4 tsp baking powder

2/3 cup warm water

1 tsp honey

1 tsp dry yeast

Just pour everything into the pan, stir and then try to smooth it out evenly. Add any topping you like. The big question: what do I have in the refrigerator? Ups, no peppers. I spread spaghetti sauce over it and thinly sliced onions and (yes!) thinly sliced brusselsprouds. Shredded cheese of course.

Put a lid on tight (and close vent if it has one) and cook for 5 minutes on a little higher than medium. Open lid vent (or tilt the lid just a tat) and cook for another 10 minutes on a little lower than medium. Done! Slide onto a board, cut and enjoy!

The white in the picture above is feta. Oh yes, I also had some turkey ham slices I diced. James really liked it. It is almost too much for two people but we managed!

Yesterday was lace-day and I am sooooooo happy that I made progress with my project. Look what I accomplished. Another lace-Chrismon!

And that is all for now. This is quilt week for me as every month. For those blogs you have to "move over".

That pizza looks interesting. What is the texture of the crust like?
