Chatting

Behind again. No excuse really since I had finished the monthly church newsletter this time even two days early. A very first! If you are interested: The Cloak 2022/02

OMG, I had started this blog on February 6. Today it is the 21st. Topics at that time were:

- sewing un-paper towels and un-paper tissues for Helen and mailing them.

- the best tomato pie ever (so said James!)

- the weather - OMG cold and windy and and and

- the January 22 in-person Richmond Forum with Bob Iger, the just retired CEO of Disney. Very interesting!

- grandson duty playing with the twins the memory matching game and are floored how good they are or how bad we are

- a squirrel helping herself to the seeds James forgot to bring back from refilling the bird feeders

- more weather!

- nice entertainment at our Pavillion by a singer who had appeared on "The Voice"

Might as well continue and finish this blog!

Sunday February 13 - An in-person opera. We have matinee season tickets. It is an odd season this year. The performances are quite short without intermission. This time only 3 performers. Of course one can't blame them because of the pandemic much income was lost with costs still occuring.

The 'Three Decembers' was a modern opera so probably not so expensive. Nevertheless I really liked it. If we had not season tickets I doubt we would have bought tickets.

Because we were early we lucked out and heard the lecture of Dr Winters. It makes the whole experience 5 x better. How could we have forgotten about these lectures?

February 16 - Grandsons duty again. The weather is nice. After coming back from a walk ... where is Owen? Of course Colin had followed him. Don't give Omi a heart attack!

James and I so enjoy our daily (as much as possible) walks. Always on the look-out to take photos for the letters to William. The first crocus. Signs of hope for better weather to come.

February 19 - another Richmond Forum. This time two famous feminist activists. Interesting but not quite my cup of tea.

Cought up.
Ha-ha, writing this in a hotel in Savannah. But about that in the next blog. Stay tuned!
